Brief Introduction
Consumers Union, is a consumer movement that was launched in Turkey at 1997 and has been established to conduct studies regarding the area. The association, which gained a different identity after a new institutional approach in 2003, attracted great attention with its new corporate identity based on the call for cooperation aimed at helping more consumers and intensely fight for consumers’ rights. Consumers Union has more than forty branches and tens of thousands of members in Istanbul, Konya, Ankara, Kutahya, Isparta, Eskisehir, Aksaray, Adana, Izmit, Erzurum, Sanliurfa, Kayseri, Adapazari, Bartin and Adiyaman.

Mahmut Sahin
Born in Cappadocia, Şahin completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Kayseri. He first knew of the Consumers Association from a lawsuit he filed to get his fair share from the Business Bank. Şahin, who has programs on television from time to time, is married and has two children.
