Short Introduction
IMWU established in 1996 and is a non-profit international enterprise. Prof.Dr. Suad El Fateh El Bedui was chosen as the president. Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, was designated as the centre of the union. The union has been a consultant in the UN Social and Economic Council (ECOSOC) since 1999. The association also has representatives in the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. It is a member of the ECA-ESCWA in The UN Social and Economic Council, the UN Volunteer Council and the NEDWE International Islamic Youth League. There are also local, regional and international memberships such as African Union and UNIW membership.
