Cooperation Among NGOs and Development Conference
Islamic World Cooperation and Development Conference held in cooperation of Union of NGOs of Islamic World (UNIW) and Union of Yemen NGOs (aka YDN) was organized in 20-21 February 2014 in Sana, capital city of Yemen, with the participation of the representatives from Turkey, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Somali, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and other countries.
On 20th February Thursday, higher rank guests from Yemen government were hosted in opening session that was held in conference hall of Yemen Orphans Association.
Opening session of the Conference took place under the auspice of Honourable Excellency President of Yemen AbdRabbuh Mansur Hadi , Muammer El- Iryani, Minister of Youth and Sports, Abdurrakib Ubad, Deputy President of Union of Yemen NGOs, Excellency Fazli Corman, Sana Ambassador of Republic of Turkey, Necibe El- Kurasi, Representative of Yemenat Organization, Hamza Akbulut, Head of TGTV, Att. Ali Kurt, Secretary General of UNIW and Necmi Sadikoglu, Honorary President of UNIW.
Special representative of Yemen Presidency Office and Ammar Iryani, Minister of Youth addressed to the relations between Yemen and Turkey in opening session of the Conference.
Representatives of all NGOs delivered presentations during the sessions held in afternoon of the first and in the second day of the conference dedicated to NGOs. Organizations had the opportunity to establish partnerships and cooperation during bilateral negotiations between the organizations in workshop section of the conference.
